hesapeake Aviation Training offers NATIONWIDE flight and ground instruction for both the novice and the seasoned general aviation pilot.  Online e-Learning programs and CDs offered by Chesapeake Aviation Training are designed to take the pilot above and beyond the basic aviation textbook and far exceeds what is taught by many flight instructors and flight schools.

Specializing in Cessna 400/350 and Cirrus Flight Instruction

At Chesapeake Aviation Training we realize that even after a pilot receives his or her private and/or instrument pilot certification, there are still many topics that have not been thoroughly explored.  This is especially true in the area of aviation weather where pilots do not typically have sufficient confidence in their decision-making process to realize the most utility out of their aircraft and experience level while maintaining the highest level of safety.

Unique in-depth aviation weather training

Within the last 10 - 15 years, the Internet has provided pilots with a rich set of weather planning tools that is continuing to grow at a rapid pace.  However, few pilots know what weather products are available, and how they should utilize and interpret them.  Chesapeake Aviation Training is owned and operated by Scott C. Dennstaedt see ( "About Us" ) who is an experienced FAA-certificated instrument flight instructor and former NWS meteorologist.  He is also an IFR magazine contributing editor and currently writes for The Pilot Journal, Plane & Pilot and Twin & Turbine magazines.

Chesapeake Aviation Training is building a curriculum of weather e-Learning programs designed to reach more students in the comfort of their own home.  As a result, we are launching a one-of-a-kind web site during the summer of 2008 called AvWxWorkshops.com For pilots that need a more focused curriculum, we offer one-on-one online training using GoToMeeting.  We integrate the online classroom training you receive with your own preflight weather analysis on cross country flights that you take.  This has made a significant impact in the pilot's ability to retain and apply the in-depth weather training they are receiving.

Additionally, we have put together a comprehensive set of categorical weather links that point to many of the best weather-based tools available on the web today.  Simply join The Weather Report to view this amazing compilation of links for aviation weather including our newest creation, the Internet Wx Brief Roadmap.  The Roadmap is a guide or checklist that takes you through a comprehensive self-briefing whether you are three days or just three hours from departure time.  Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.  Chesapeake Aviation Training is here to provide all your aviation weather training needs.  Give us a call...we'd love to chat with you.
